“Dude.  This took forever.” Okay, just a quick break from the crochet to share this little find - which is AWESOME!  Found via Sublime Stitching, here’s a description about these amazing little tags: “So, I spent all this time making a gift for (insert soon-to-be ex-friend’s name here) and they just tossed it aside like ‘whatever’ and didn’t even seem to appreciate it! Grrrr…”  … I thought these might come in handy. You won’t have to say a word. Just bat your eyes innocently, exuding nothing but the spirit of giving-givy-ness and let the label say what you want to (but probably shouldn’t).  Almost all of the gifts I’ve crocheted for friends/family have been accepted with great delight, but there have been the odd few that I suspect have been mistreated and maybe even abandoned.  Sigh.  So, I was day dreaming about how awesome it would be to add these labels to my hand crafted goodies!

Okay, so this is knitting, not crochet.  But that doesn’t mean that you couldn’t crochet something like this.  And — knitting is awesome too!   Here’s a little story about how Project Olove began: it all started one year before. a mild obsession at first until my father asked me ‘how long do you think it would take you to fill a one gallon jar with your knitted olives?’  -  my response,  ’i don’t know, but i’m going to find out…’

What a super sweet idea - a group of friends each knitted/hooked a square or two while attending their friend’s baby-shower, gifting her with this blanket for the little ‘yet-to-be-born’ bubs by the end of the shower. Awwww …
